This informa- tion may also be accessed at the official web site of Villanova Athletics, GAME CREDENTIALS The current Pennsylvania state guide- lines limit indoor venues to no more than 15 percent capacity and that threshold applies to our ability to admit media. Put simply, we will have a sharply reduced capacity to offer credentials in 2020-21. Priority will be given to outlets with the largest verified circulation and digital traffic numbers. Outlets will be limited to a maximum of one media credential. Single game credential requests must be received no later than one week prior to the game. There will be no season credentials issued in 2020-21. Approved requests will be emailed a bar code to gain admittance to the arena. Entrance will be on the upper level outside section 212 (press box). Those entering must be wearing a mask during the entirety of the time they are inside Finneran Pavilion. A media cre- dential will be placed at the assigned seat in section 212. Media credentials do not grant access to the lower bowl of Finneran Pavilion or the court area. PARKING AND ENTRY Approved media will park in the same location as previous years at the Health Services Garage across Ithan Avenue from Finneran Pavilion. Please note: Finneran Pavilion will open one hour prior to tipoff for all, including media. SECTION 212 Seating in this area will be restricted to no more than three people per row as to observe six feet of social distance space between work stations. PHOTOGRAPHY Approved photographers will be assigned a workspace in section 212 and a spot to shoot from in one of two cor- ner areas of the lower bowl – 107 or 112. Photographers are expected to utilize the assigned spot only. A photography credential does not allow floor access at any time. Photographers should access their assigned location from the upper arena level. No remote cameras may be placed anywhere on the court level. To accommodate those not approved for in-arena access, at Villanova home games in 2020-21 a post-game Dropbox link will be made available to media outlets with game video highlights and 10-12 game action photos. MEDIA ROOM There will be no media work room at Finneran Pavilion in 2020-21. Media should expect to do all work at their assigned seat in section 212. Per CoSIDA/USBWA recommendations, a roster card will be the only hard copy provided. Game notes and the Villanova Digital media guide will be available We will also provide a stat broadcast link to media for in-game statistics. A limited number of conces- sion stands will be open to the public, but we will not be able to provide meal coupons in 2020-21. VISITING RADIO Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be unable to welcome visiting commer- cial or student radio crews to Finneran Pavilion in 2020-21. Villanova’s commer- cial radio will not be on site for road or neutral court games in 2020-21. POSTGAME NEWS CONFERENCES Postgame news conferences will be conducted via Zoom. There will be a Zoom link available for both the home and road teams. These will be held in separate areas of Finneran Pavilion and may occur simultaneously. Each will be recorded and we will supply a link to the recording. These news conferences will be available to those on site as well as those covering remotely. An archive will be created for the recordings of the press conferences. 2020-21 VILLANOVA BASKETBALL THIS IS VILLANOVA BASKETBALL n 13 DEAN KENEFICK Sr. Assoc. Fannon is a 1993 Villanova graduate who began his association with the Wildcat network as host of the pre-game and post-game shows shortly after his graduation. This marks his 21st season as one of the signature voices of Villanova Basketball. Fannon is also the radio play-by-play voice of Villanova Wildcats Football on 610 Sports and also co-hosts “Talking Villanova Football with Andy Talley”. Fannon and his wife Laura are the parents of three children and make their home in Alexandria, Va. COLOR COMMENTARY WHITEY RIGSBY Whitey Rigsby came to Villanova in 1974 and went on to become the starting point guard for Coach Rollie Massimino and a 1978 Wildcats squad that advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. He was a three-year starter who dished out 393 career assists and was inducted into the Villanova Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995. The new basketball campaign marks Rigsby’s 39th as a team broadcaster. In that span he helped call VU’s 1985 NCAA and 1994 National Invitation Tournament titles and in 2009 he was behind the microphone as the Wildcats marched back to the NCAA Final Four in Detroit and the 2016 NCAA national championship. Rigsby is a director in the office of the Villanova Athletic Fund. Rigsby makes his home in Malvern, Pa., with his wife Becky, a 1979 Villanova graduate. The couple has seven children: Deborah, VU class of 2005; Rob Jr., VU class of 2007; Frederick, VU class of 2007; Mary; Matthew, VU class of 2010; Joseph, VU class of 2012 and John. INSIDE VILLANOVA BASKETBALL WITH JAY WRIGHT The television program that brings Wildcat fans behind the scenes of their favorite team is “Inside Villanova Basketball with Jay Wright”. This show was nominated for a 2014 Mid-Atlantic Emmy. Ten shows will air locally on NBCSN Philly in Philadelphia and in selected northeast markets as well. The show is produced by WipeOut Productions and its executive producer Scott Graham. The program gives viewers an inside look at life within the Villanova Basketball program. TALKING VILLANOVA BASKETBALL WITH JAY WRIGHT presented by Hartford Funds The “Talking Villanova Basketball with Jay Wright presented by Hartford Funds” program entered a new era in 2018-19, as it shifts away from its previous format as a locally based radio broadcast to an audio podcast in its 18th season. The debut program will be made available this month and is to be followed in succeeding months by a new podcast available via download free of charge. Fans can follow @ NovaMBB on Twitter, Instragram, and Facebook to receive instant alerts when a new podcast becomes available for download. As he has in previous seasons, Wright will welcome a range of guests to the program, including current Wildcats players, coaches, basketball alumni and other notables from the local and national basketball scene. Hartford Funds returns for its fourth season as presenting partner of Talking Villanova Basketball. “We’re excited to continue our partnership with Hartford Funds as we enter a new era of Talking Villanova Basketball,” stated Drew Young, Vice President of Villanova Sports Properties. “This new platform makes Talking Villanova Basketball accessible to a wider audience than it was previously, available on demand via mobile devices.” VILLANOVA ATHLETICS WEBSITE • WWW.VILLANOVA.COM • Game Notes (full game notes available in .pdf format) • Statistics • Schedule and Results • Feature Stories • Complete media guide (available section by section in .pdf format) • Highlight Videos • Villanova Apparel VILLANOVA.COM INTERNET RADIO BROADCASTS • Radio Broadcasts and Live Stats of Wildcat basketball games available over the internet. • To access live and archived broadcasts, mouse over the NOVA NATION menu at the top of the website and select Nova Nation All- Access.
