At Villanova, that celebration expands to include not just the student-athletes and their families, but all of Villanova’s seniors through a pre-game reception and ticket priority for the graduating class. THE THE NNOOVAVA NNAATIONTION A new term for the Wildcats fan base came into use midway through the first decade of the 2000s. In the original Pavilion, the Villanova men’s players descended through an end zone bleacher that held 1,500 students to recognize that the student-athletes represented the entirety of the student body. With the new configuration of Finneran Pavilion, the Wildcats now enter in front of the student body. THANKS FORTHANKS FOR THE SUPPORTTHE SUPPORT At the conclusion of a Villanova home game - win or lose - the Wildcats appear before the student section as a unit with their fingers raised in the sign of a “V” to say thanks to the Nova Nation for bringing the energy to the Cats home court.‘CATS IN THE COMMUNITY 2020-21 VILLANOVA BASKETBALL VILLANOVA BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE n 77 AT VILLANOVA, SERVICE AT VILLANOVA, SERVICE TO THE SURROUNDING TO THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IS A COMMUNITIES IS A CORNERSTONE VALUE.
