SERIES HISTORY n Auburn holds a 17-11-1 advantage in the series history with Arkansas, and the Tigers were 34-3 winners in the last matchup in Auburn in 2018. Auburn was a 51-10 winner last season at Arkansas. n The Tigers lead 8-5-1 in games played at Jordan-Hare Sta- dium and lead 8-5 in games played at Fayetteville. Auburn won the only matchup played in Memphis (1984), while Arkansas won the only one at Little Rock (1995). n Auburn has won the last four meetings by at least 31 points, the first time in program history the Tigers have won four straight games against an SEC opponent by at least 30 points. n The current four-game win streak by Auburn is the longest winning streak by either team in series history. n A win over Arkansas would give Auburn its fifth straight vic- tory in the series, which would extend the longest winning streak by either team in series history. Auburn owns the only two winning streaks of at least three games in the series, from 2003-05 and 2016-present. n Sixteen of the last 21 games in the series have been de- cided by at least 17 points. Auburn is 9-7 in those games. Conversely, five of the first eight games in the series were decided by six points or fewer. n In four meetings against the Razorbacks since Kevin Steele took over as Auburn’s defensive coordinator, the Tigers have held Arkansas to two offensive touchdowns and hav- en’t allowed an offensive touchdown in the first half of any of the four matchups. KICKOFF COVERAGE n Auburn’s 2020 campaign will be its 128th season of college football. The Tigers have 777 wins all-time, 13th-most among FBS schools. n Preseason all-SEC Tigers as selected by the league’s coaches include first-team picks LB K.J. Britt and DE Big Kat Bryant, OL Brodarious Hamm on the second team and WR Seth Williams and DB/RS Christian Tutt as third team selections. n Quarterback Bo Nix had his Auburn record streak of 251 consecutive pass attempts thrown without an intercep- tion stopped at Georgia; Nix was second nationally behind Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence. n Team captains for the 2020 season are LB K.J. Britt, DE Big Kat Bryant, QB Bo Nix and RB Shaun Shivers. n Auburn has been ranked in the AP Top 10 at least once during the last eight seasons, tying a school-best streak from 1983-90. n Junior cornerback Roger McCreary is tied with LSU’s Eli Ricks for the SEC lead in passes defensed per game (2.0). n Bo Nix has totaled 11 scores (7 pass/4 rush) in five career SEC games at Jordan-Hare Stadium. In those, Nix averages 265.2 passing yards and 39.2 rushing yards (304.4 total yds) with a 62.2 completion percentage. IN OCTOBER n Auburn is 314-165-18 (.650) all-time in October. Auburn’s October home record is 172-35-3 (.828). Away from Au- burn, the Tigers are 142-130-15 (.519) in October n Auburn is 17-9 in October under Gus Malzahn. FOR THE DEFENSE n Senior linebacker K.J. Britt is tied for seventh nationally averaging 11.5 tackles per game this season. n Britt posted a then-career-best 11 tackles and a TFL in the season opening win against Kentucky, and topped that with a 12-tackle performance at Georgia. That gives Britt 119 tackles and 13.0 TFL for his career. ALABAMA .....................................................TBA THE RUNDOWN n Arkansas closes out its two-game road swing when it travels to No. 13 Auburn. n Arkansas claimed its first win of the season last weekend on the road, downing No. 16 Mississippi State to snap a 20- game conference losing streak. n It was Arkansas’ first win over an SEC opponent since a 38-37 win over Ole Miss on Oct. 28, 2017. The Razorbacks won a game over a ranked opponent for the first time since defeating No. 10 Florida 31-10 in 2016. n Head coach Sam Pittman won his first game as the Head Hog at Mississippi State. He is the first coach in school histo- ry to earn his first Razorback win over a ranked opponent. n Junior LB Bumper Pool’s 20 tackles against Mississippi State is tied for 10th most in a single-game in school history and the most in the FBS this season. Through two games, his 15.5 tackles per game lead the nation. n The Razorback defense intercepted three passes at Missis- sippi State, the most in a game since the 2019 season-open- er against Portland State. The Hogs last picked off three passes against an SEC opponent on Nov. 22, 2014 against Ole Miss. n Junior DB Joe Foucha picked off two passes in a game for the first time in his career at Mississippi State, and it was the first time for a Razorback since Dre Greenlaw in 2018 vs. Texas A&M. Foucha ranks second nationally in total inter- ceptions and is tied for first in the SEC. n Senior WR De’Vion Warren had a game to remember at Mississippi State, recording career-highs in catches (4) and receiving yards (100) with a 52-yard career-long reception, while also scoring his second career touchdown. He ranks seventh nationally and second in the SEC averaging 25.6 yards per catch. n QB Feleipe Franks produced one of the most efficient games in the league last weekend tossing a pair of TDs while going 20-for-28 for 212 yards for a 117.0 QB rating. n Arkansas’ defense leads the SEC in interceptions (4) and turnovers gained (6), ranks second in red zone defense (0.625), fourth in third down defense (32.4) and fifth in scoring defense (25.5) and rushing defense (104.0). SERIES NOTABLES n Arkansas faces Auburn for the 30th time in the all-time series. The Tigers lead the set, 17-11-1 and lead 8-5 in games played in Auburn. n The Razorbacks last defeated Auburn 54-46 in four overtimes - the only OT game in series history - on Oct. 24, 2015 in Fayetteville. Arkansas’ last win in Auburn was a 24-7 decision on Oct. 6, 2012. n The winning team has posted at least 50 points in four of the last five meetings. QUICK HITS n Arkansas has had at least one player record 100 rushing yards in a game in each of the last 36 years. n Arkansas has had at least one receiver post a 100-yard receiving game in 14-straight years. n Thirty-nine student-athletes on the 2020 roster are from in- side the state’s borders, with five from Fayetteville - Ty Clary, Jon Conley, Elias Hale, Jack Lindsey, and Tyson Morris. n Seventeen different states are represented on this year’s team.
