The Wildcats have won 11 of the previous 12 games in the “Battle of the Blue” series, including tallying a 42-21 vic- tory at Delaware Stadium last season. SERIES HISTORY: Villanova leads the all-time series against Delaware by a 30-21-1 margin and has won 12 of the last 13 matchups, including the last seven in a row. That stretch of 13 games began with the 2006 season, and in the 13 contests the Wildcats have averaged 29.9 points per game. STREAKING ALONG: Villanova and Delaware have each had significant winning streaks during the all-time series against each other, with the Blue Hens winning six straight from 1990-95 and the Wildcats having currently won the last seven meetings. Villanova will attempt to become the first team to win eight consecutive games in the series in this Saturday’s contest. HOME STRETCH: The Wildcats are in a stretch of playing three straight home games to finish the regular season. The three-game homestand began with a 35-28 win over Rich- mond on Nov. 9 and continued with a 35-7 win over Long Island on Friday, Nov. 15. The Wildcats will close out the regular season on Nov. 23 by hosting the Delaware Blue Hens. Villanova is 4-1 at home this year. 100-YARD RECEIVER: For the third time this year and the fourth of his career, junior wideout Changa Hodge went over the 100-yard receiving mark in last week’s win over Long Island. In the 35-7 victory, Hodge tallied seven receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns. His other two 100-yard receiving games this year include eight receptions for 134 yards at James Madison and two scores and seven catches for 106 yards at New Hampshire. Hodge leads the Wildcats in receiving with 51 catches for 784 yards and eight touch- downs. FINDING THE END ZONE: Fifth-year senior tight end Simon Bingelis found the end zone for the first time in his career last Friday versus Long Island when he caught a 17-yard touchdown pass. Bingelis was named to the CAA Preseason Honorable Mention Team, but has been limited to six games due to injury. In the six contests, he has registered nine catches for 143 yards and a touchdown. ROOKIE RUNNER: After leading rusher Justin Covington went down with a season ending injury in week six, Villanova has looked to true freshman DeeWil Barlee to help carry the load in the Wildcat backfield. In 11 games this year, Barlee has rushed 107 times for 596 yards (5.6 avg.) and five touch- downs. He has registered two 100-yard rushing games this season, including 22 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown versus Stony Brook and 18 carries for 114 yards and a score against Richmond. VILLANOVA (8-3, 4-3 CAA) DELAWARE (5-6, 3-4 CAA) Senior tight end Simon Bingelis scored his first career touchdown with a 17-yard reception against LIU.
