The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 27 on the second day of the Bluegrass Showcase but was postponed. The Titans did not participate in any games that week due to COVID-19 safety protocols. SEC Network will televise the Dec. 15 matchup. Tickets and parking permits for the origi- nal Nov. 27 date with Detroit Mercy will be valid for the rescheduled game against the Titans and ticket holders do not need to take further action. Mobile ticket management features will be available to season ticket holders through their My UK Account. Montgomery, Sestina Sign NBA Training Camp Deals Kentucky men's basketball alumni EJ Montgomery and Nate Sestina will get an opportunity to play in the NBA with training camp acquisitions that were officially an- nounced Tuesday and Wednesday. Sestina signed a free-agent deal to join the Brooklyn Nets' training camp roster on Tues- day, and the Bucks announced a similar deal with Montgomery on Wednesday. Per the respective team policies, terms of the deals were not released, but both Mont- gomery and Sestina will get the chance to prove themselves on NBA preseason rosters. Each team will carry 20 players into the pre- season. Those rosters will eventually be cut down to 15 full-time players and 17 with an additional two players on two-way contracts. Last week, former Kentucky men's bas- ketball point guard Ashton Hagans official- ly inked a two-way deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Former Kentucky men's bas- ketball player Kahlil Whitney, who left the team midway through the season, has also signed a deal to join the Charlotte Hornets in training camp. Montgomery and Hagans were two of five underclassmen from the 2019-20 team to declare for the NBA Draft. Three of them – Tyrese Maxey (No. 21 overall to Philadel- phia), Immanuel Quickley (No. 27 to New York via a trade with Oklahoma City) and Nick Richards (No. 42 to Charlotte after a trade with New Orleans) – were drafted ear- lier this month. In 28 seasons as a head coach, Calipari has coached 52 NBA Draft picks, including 37 first-round selections and four No. 1 over- all picks. Calipari's players have entered the league NBA-ready. His players have garnered 23 All- Star selections, with Anthony Davis winning the game's MVP honor in 2017. Derrick Rose was named MVP in 2011. Five of his play- ers have been tabbed All-NBA (Rose, Davis, Karl-Anthony Towns, John Wall and DeMar- cus Cousins), three have been named NBA Rookie of the Year (Rose, Towns and Tyreke Evans), and 14 players from Calipari's first 10 teams at Kentucky made the NBA All-Rookie teams. UK has produced more All-NBA play- ers, more NBA All-Rookie and more NBA All-Defensive players than any other school in the Calipari era. Wildcats are Underdogs?! For just the second time in 12 seasons under John Calipari and the first since 2010- 11, a season that culminated in a Final Four berth, the Wildcats were not picked to win the regular-season league crown. That pre- season honor this season goes to the Ten- nessee Volunteers, who the media predicted will unseat the Wildcats, the defending SEC champions, in 2020-21. In most seasons, UK has lived up to the high expectations, having won six regu- lar-season SEC crowns in the Calipari era and a league-high 49 overall after posting a 15-3 record last season. The Wildcats also own six SEC Tournament titles under Calipari. Each school selected media members that cover their team and additional media from across the nation were selected by the con- ference office to comprise the voting panel. Points were compiled on a 14-13-12-11-10- 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis. Ties were not broken. Four Players on National Watch Lists Four Wildcats -- Brandon Boston Jr., Terrence Clarke, Isaiah Jackson and Olivier Sarr -- are on major national watch lists to begin the season. Boston and Clarke are two of 50 play- ers on the Naismith Trophy preseason watch list, awarded annually to the national player of the year by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Bos- ton is also one of 20 players on the National Association of Basketball Coaches' national player of the year honor. Four Wildcats are on preseason watch lists for the positional player of the year awards presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Boston is on the list for the Julius Erv- ing Award (best small forward), Clarke is nominated for the Jerry West Award (best shooting guard), Jackson is tabbed to the Karl Malone Award watch list (best power forward) and Sarr is among the candidates for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar award (best center).
