Following one exhibition game, a 2-0 win over Dallas on Thursday, the Preds will take on the Coyotes in Game 1 of their best-of-five qualifying round series. Up next are Games 2 and 3, which will be a back-to-back on Aug. 4-5. STORYLINES VS. ARIZONA • Nashville is 36-29-(2)-6 all-time against Coyotes, including a 1-1-0 record this season. • Both home teams picked up the victory in their two meetings this season. Nashville won, 3-2, at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 23; Arizona snagged two points in a 5-2 win on Oct. 17. • Season series: 10/17 @ ARI (L, 5-2); 12/23 @ NSH (W, 3-2) • This is the second time the Predators and Coyotes will meet in a postseason series. The two franchises met in the 2012 Western Conference Second Round, with the Preds falling, 4-1. • Pekka Rinne, Roman Josi and Craig Smith are the only players on the current Nashville roster who played for the Preds in their lone playoff series against the Coyotes.
