After picking up a 4-2 victory in Tuesday’s Game 2 to even the series at 1-1, the Preds look to take a 2-1 advantage heading into Friday’s Game 4. Nashville’s top line has found the scoresheet often through the first two games of the series – Filip Forsberg (2g), Ryan Johansen (1g-2a) and Viktor Arvidsson (1g) have combined for six points to lead the way for the Preds. STORYLINES VS. ARIZONA • Nashville is 36-29-(2)-6 all-time against Coyotes, including a 1-1-0 record during the 2019-20 regular season. • Both home teams picked up the victory in their two regular-season meetings. Nashville won, 3-2, at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 23; Arizona snagged two points in a 5-2 win on Oct. 17. • This is the second time the Predators and Coyotes will meet in a postseason series. The two franchises met in the 2012 Western Conference Second Round, with the Preds falling, 4-1. PREDS PLAYOFF NOTABLES • Ryan Johansen became the second player in Preds playoff history to record 40 points (14g-16a). He sits second on Nashville’s all-time playoff points list to Filip Forsberg, who has 46 (25g-21a). • Roman Josi picked up an assist on Calle Jarnkrok’s game-winning goal in Game 2 to give him three helpers in two Qualifying Round games. • Filip Forsberg recorded his fifth career multi-goal playoff performance in Sunday’s Game 1. Forsberg also became the first player in Predators history to score at least two power-play goals in a postseason game. • Forsberg’s five multi-goal postseason games are the most in Nashville history; J-P Dumont sits second with three.
